California: Malibu

at the end of july i flew out to LA to visit my brother phil and his family (they live in calabasas). me, my sister-in-law carola, and the kids (emily, hailey, & nick) headed to malibu and visited the ghetty villa (i just love it when family/friends let me go to art museums!), the adamson house, the malibu sport fishing pier, and pepperdine university (where phil works). and if you can believe it we went shopping for a couple hours too. whew. enjoy the pretty blues, i know i did.

corinn + richard: a wedding

the day before i left florida i had the privilege of being corinn's maid of honor. they got married at the lds temple in orlando, and a reception was held that night. corinn converted to the church when we were both in the young women's program and the fact that she is now sealed for eternity is incredible and makes me so happy! they didn't have a wedding photographer so i did some double-duty and took pictures when i could as well. so here are just a few of the all the ones i took! {tip: don't get married in the heat of a florida summer, unless you want to sweat like crazy!}

i tried to get my fill of the beach before i left home, including bike rides, sunsets, and sunny days. {and after all that filing work this summer, i think if i have to touch cardboard boxes or files too soon i might just gag. all in the name of travel!}
